We have officially submitted the KrabiClaw app to OpenAI for public listing in the ChatGPT Directory.
KrabiClaw is a website management layer built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that lets restaurant, experience, and professional service owners manage their live websites entirely through conversation. While our submission is under official review, any business owner can connect KrabiClaw to ChatGPT today via Developer Mode.
Why local businesses don’t need another website builder
Most AI website tools are built around a single moment: generation. You type a prompt, watch an AI create a generic template, and then get handed the keys to an intimidating dashboard with hundreds of settings.
That model fails local businesses because a business is never static.
Restaurants rotate seasonal menus, sell out of daily specials, and adjust holiday hours. Experience operators change workshop capacities, add weekend time slots, and respond to group inquiries. Law firms and advisory practices publish statutory updates and intake new client consultations.
When updating your website requires logging into a CMS you haven't touched in three months, one of two things happens: the website becomes out of date, or you pay an agency hundreds of dollars for simple edits.
KrabiClaw was designed to solve this by turning your existing communication channel into your management interface. Instead of navigating menus and form fields, you simply tell ChatGPT what changed.
What ChatGPT can do on your live website
Through KrabiClaw’s custom MCP connector, ChatGPT isn’t just generating text—it has secure, direct tools to inspect, update, and manage your live KrabiClaw site:
- Update Menus & Offerings: Tell ChatGPT, 'Add our new coconut mango dessert to the sweet section for 180 THB and mark it as gluten-free.' The change is formatted into clean HTML with schema markup and published to your site.
- Query Live Analytics: Ask ChatGPT, 'How many people visited our menu from Google Maps this week, and what was our busiest day?' ChatGPT queries your real-time analytics ledger and summarizes the trends directly in chat.
- Turn Reviews & Analytics into Marketing: Ask ChatGPT, 'Look at our top positive reviews from last weekend and turn them into a short announcement post for our website and Facebook page.'
- Sync Google Places Data: Seamlessly import verified hours, addresses, ratings, and customer reviews directly from your Google Business Profile so your web presence always matches reality.
- Native Attachments: Attach a photo directly in ChatGPT and ask KrabiClaw to optimize it and place it in your gallery or as a dish photo.
Security, permissions, and OAuth2
Connecting an AI model to a live production website requires strict safeguards. We built KrabiClaw on open security standards:
- Scoped OAuth2 Authentication: ChatGPT authenticates via OAuth2 before accessing any tool. It can only see and interact with websites belonging to your verified KrabiClaw organization.
- Explicit Action Metadata: Every tool in the KrabiClaw catalog declares explicit hints (
readOnly, destructive, andopenWorld). ChatGPT informs you before executing any destructive action or public publication. - No Hallucinated Fallbacks: When information is missing, KrabiClaw tools fail closed and report the exact missing data rather than guessing or overwriting valid content.
How to connect KrabiClaw in ChatGPT today
You do not need to wait for public directory approval to use KrabiClaw in ChatGPT. You can connect it right now using ChatGPT’s Developer Mode:
- Enable Developer Mode: In ChatGPT (web), navigate to Settings → Security and login, and toggle on Developer mode.
- Add the MCP Connection: Open your ChatGPT Connectors / Plugins menu, click the plus button to add a new connector, and enter the KrabiClaw endpoint:
https://krabiclaw.com/api/mcp - Authenticate: Authorize with your KrabiClaw account via the secure OAuth prompt.
- Start Managing: Start a chat, activate KrabiClaw from the tools menu, and try a simple prompt: 'List my sites and give me a summary of my current menu.'
