Add photos and video
Upload media, place it on the right part of your site, and check the result without deleting a shared asset by mistake.

Adding media has two separate steps: upload the file, then place it on the intended page, post, product or location. A file in the media library is not automatically the hero photo or part of a gallery.
1. Prepare the files
Use media you own or have permission to publish. Remove private information and check whether recognizable people have agreed to its use. Add a short, useful description for accessibility.
For assistant uploads, attach the actual image or video file in a client that supports KrabiClaw file delivery. Every video also needs a separate poster image. If your client cannot deliver the attachment, use the dashboard upload flow. Do not ask the assistant to invent a download URL.
2. Upload or reuse
Choose the correct business. Reuse an existing library asset when it is already the right file; check its preview before selecting it. Otherwise upload the new file and confirm that it appears in the library. A category such as interior or team helps organize the library but does not choose a placement.
If an assistant reports that attachment delivery failed, attach the file again. For video, confirm that both the playable asset and its poster were saved. Social destinations have additional format requirements; check those before preparing a post.
3. Choose the placement
Name both the item and the role: for example, the Downtown location's hero or an article's cover. A logo, cover or hero holds one asset; assigning a replacement changes that placement. A gallery is an ordered collection: add, remove or reorder individual items without replacing unrelated images.
Try with your connected assistant
Replace the example business, page and details with your own.
Replace one hero image
For my Harbor Studio site, read the Downtown location and show me its current hero. Upload the attached workshop video and poster image, then use the video as that location’s hero. Leave all other media placements unchanged. Read the location back and share its public page.
4. Verify and remove safely
Open the public destination and check the crop, order, description and video playback. Check the poster before playback as well as the moving video. A successful upload is not proof that the file was placed correctly.
To stop showing an image, remove it from that placement. Deleting the underlying library asset is a separate action and can affect other uses; inspect those uses before requesting deletion.
